Calm after the storm

After a couple of intense days, with Betsy and I sorting out how to do
the feeding's at night, how to get enough sleep, unpack and move into
our home, and deal with recovering from it being burglarized while we
were at the hospital, today was lovely. We spent much of it out on the
porch, doing some gardening and visiting with the Wares. Linda, Phil
and Amy spent the weekend and really helped us get set up, not to
mention cooking and doing other chores which were a big help. Other
friends dropped off food and took care of our dog... Thank you!

The burglars didn't take too much - a computer monitor, all of Betsy's
jewelry, a razor and an iPod. It is unfortunate, but we haven't been
too bothered emotionally by it. There are so many other more
important things to take care of. A nice police officer came by and
told us it is rare for a burglar to break into the same place twice,
and there is rarely personal injury involved. That was my main
concern, and I feel better about that.

Here is a picture of Stella out on the porch...
